Instructor Spotlight
| Instructor Spotlight: Cindy Chappell and Kim Wooten |
| Next week, we welcome back NC Cooperative Extension Master Gardener CIndy Chappell to begin her 3-session course Propagation Techniques for Growing More Plants. As a Master Gardener, Cindy connects people to the benefits of gardening through research-based information and educational programming, and has a lot of fun doing it! If you are looking for tips on how to make your garden grow this summer, this class is for you! New to OLLI is lecturer Kim Wooten, a consulting engineer with Facility Strategies Group, LLC. She served on the NC Building Code Council from 2008-2012, and again from 2019-2025. Kim is motivated to share how last year’s Hurricane Helene brought into focus that NC’s building codes may have contributed to the damage seen all across our state. Her program Building Codes and the General Assembly: Safety, Costs and Challenges will help us understand why building codes matter and their role in keeping us safe. Get to know Cindy and Kim in the classroom. Space remains in their programs, register below! |
